EEO 3.0 Glory days

Written by Equipo Easy On at 17:43 4/1-2016

Season 12 through 17 - Carribeans rule the OCM Circus

Now in the Top 10 but not really getting any further, I decided that I needed to approach the whole thing slightly more professional. Therefore I made a list of all Div 1 races and analysed them, as well as the riders at that time. There was plenty of points to gain in HL races and there was only two handfuls of riders with HL stats of 70+, and not a single one was 80+. Futhermore, most of them were climbers who had HL as sidestat. Good! There was the niche to be filled. First, the pretty hapless Dorian Mruk was trained, but then Gradient Levellers offered a Saint Lucian on the forum, and no one seemed t see his potentials: Truman Vancil.

He became the first dedicated Hiller of the game (Team Whalers had the same idea and trained the nearly identical Urbano Menem, and there was the long forgotten Nigerian Femi Babatunde).

Apart from the sprinting, hill races, also Time Trials became a focus.

EEO was so incredibly fortunate in training that two riders were capped in their potentials by Nick (after stupid me notifying him about them) - today their Max AVG is not among the best.

At its peak, EEO had 4 riders in the Top 5:

-Truman Vancil, Saint Lucia (2000+ points alone)
  -Gregory Levis, Cayman Islands (TT'ist)
  -Broderick Rimmer, Bahamas
  -Clarence Caraway, Barbados

But there was a wealth of other riders from obscure islands inthe Carribean as well.

Actually, I was quite embarrassed by this and the resulting 8000+ points - even though I pride myself never to have done any crooked deals.

One has to say, I had been pretty fortunate in the training. EEO was on the top spot for about 4 seasons, but then I got increasingly tired by ....

This was the period i also started. Looked a lot at your team to find out more about the game. Made my way to the top 10 also with a saint lucia hiller. thought i was doing you a favour to try to sell him but you had enough hillers so refused.

Quick step minded at 18:16 8/1-2016
This was around the time I started the game. I'm not sure if any nr.1 since has ever emulated getting 8000 points, but I'm 100% sure no one has ever come close to getting such a cool looking exocit team. It was the heyday-period of OCM imho. A good read, all these names do ring a bell.

Thanks for the PRs! It's nice to read about the old times. Especially when it's that well written

Greg Levis and Corwin Wyeth spwaned with a an Average of 34 - that was possible back then. However, both of them did not have the intended cap of 160 (or so - I do not know) but trained and trained - so I contacted Nick if it was a bug and then they were maxed -artificially so to speak - (I think it was fine at that point in time though others maxed higher not long after))

Anonymous Cycling Project at 18:19 4/1-2016
Very nice story! Riders were capped in their potentials, never heard that. Do you mean that Levis(?) should have maxed lower, or even trained above his potential?
